Our Montessori Programmes

Montessori classrooms were originally named “Children’s Houses” because they were designed to be places where the perspective of the child was paramount. Continuing in this tradition, our three agewise  rooms (babies, toddler and preschool) are setup with Montessori materials, that are developmentally appropriate, carefully chosen and beautifully displayed. All the classroom and outdoor activities are based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s teaching methods.

In The Absorbent Mind, Dr. Montessori wrote, “The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six. For that is the time when man’s intelligence itself, his greatest implement is being formed. But not only his intelligence; the full totality of his psychic powers… At no other age has the child a greater need of an intelligent help, and any obstacle that impedes his creative work will lessen the chance he has of achieving perfection.”

Our Montessori environments are well organized, aesthetically appealing and stimulating. Research shows that physical environments  have a huge impact on children’s behaviour and development. Great care and thought has gone in preparing our environments for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Our classrooms are a beautiful representation of a warm, calm and peaceful  environment.
